Bonnaroo Updates (2022): Everything You Need to Know
Every yr, the groups behind Bonnaroo create a tremendous expertise that continues to get higher with age. Some would say like a effective wine. What does this imply for us as attendees although? Well… It signifies that for 2022, Bonnaroo is giving us some BIG upgrades that attendees have been requesting for… properly years. So, right here’s every little thing YOU must know concerning the Bonnaroo updates for 2022.
Okay so beginning with the HEAVY hitters first.
NEW Campground Entry
The delimma of stepping into the campgrounds has all the time been a survival of the fittest for Bonnaroo. I’m speaking HOURS of ready alongside the interstate, hours of ready simply exterior of the turnstiles. Truly- chaos. So, to unravel this downside, the staff has carried out a day by day parking course of the place attendees will buy tenting tickets immediately related to a selected arrival day and that’s the ONLY day they will arrive if eager to arrive earlier than Thursday (i.e. Tuesday, Wednesday, or Weekend [Thursday- Saturday]). It could be anticipated that Thursday will nonetheless be a protracted wait!
The objective is to higher management the variety of folks arriving on sure days. Make positive you tune in for the recap to see how that is executed and the way folks understand the change! If executed properly, it might alleviate the wait occasions in line for attendees, stress and stress on check-in groups on the entrance, and even stress on native authorities within the space to help site visitors management/deviations!
Better Campground Transportation
Another massive downside solver that I’m really giddy about! Getting round exterior of Centeroo (the place the music and levels are) is rather a lot, which often means lacking out on all of the superb actions out there on the Plazas (extra to come back on this). However, for 2022, Bonnaroo has partnered up with Allegiant to carry Jamtrak to the grounds! Above is the idea picture, pulled from this Facebook reside, provides us hope that straightforward (and free) entry to transportation throughout the grounds might be there!
Stage Changes
Stage modifications are all the time and thrilling, however scary time. It could be a complete win, or it might be a TOTAL miss. This yr, late evening music is shifting over to The Other stage. Personally, I really feel like that is going to enormously enhance site visitors movement as a result of it’s nearer to the side-entrance of Centeroo. Making it a perfect location for a fast late-night exit versus traversing all the Farm from the Kalliopi stage. Make positive you take a look at the 7 Artists You Can’t Miss on the Bonnaroo Late Night Lineup. Other upgrades embody a large haul on the Silent Disco and Who Stage, together with new lighting, lasers, and extra.
Plaza Upgrades
Every yr, the Plazas come again with a good larger bang, and this one isn’t any exception. Bringing again a few of my favourite facilities, corresponding to shade, meals, misting stations, and charging stations (phew*), these spots are a HUB of actions for attendees. Not to say, they’re all individually curated for a unique ‘vibe’ at each location! So, put that Jamtrack to make use of and be sure to go to ALL OF THEM.
Another necessary observe, is that some Plazas have particular purchasing merchandise solely out there there, and secret artists units which can be all the time *introduced* so maintain your eyes peeled!
Tent & Camping Upgrades
Camping is a serious a part of the Bonnaroo expertise, so that they’ve actually stepped up their recreation. For these attendees who’re within the Platinum packages, get pleasure from shaded campgrounds simply South of Centeroo with direct entry to the Artist Lounge.
For those who want to keep away from the trouble of pitching their very own tent, contemplate testing the brand new Darkroom tents out there this for all bundle varieties not simply VIP! They embody an air con unit, memento gear, inflatable beds, and extra.
These are some BIG modifications that the staff has carried out for the Bonnaroo updates of 2022. Although I’m personally extra excited concerning the entrance modifications, all of those upgrades are going to make this years expertise THAT rather more particular. If you haven’t absolutely ready but, concern not! There’s loads of time. Make positive you take a look at the Bonnaroo Festival Guide, in addition to keep linked on socials so you may take part on Q&As, Lives, and extra.
