Upcoming Fall Festival Weekend: September 22-25, 2022

Pumpkins, Grapes, Pretzels, Apples and Mums make this an unbelievable Fall Festival Weekend in Ohio

It’s one other unbelievable pageant weekend in Ohio with over 90 festivals all through the state.

But, actually, even in case you stay alongside the Ohio borders, there are festivals close by within the neighboring states as properly! Look to the map under and see what’s round you. If you discover some festivals and want to know extra, take a look at the Upcoming Weekend Post at my sister web site, Festival Guides and Reviews, and discover out what’s occurring this weekend – https://festivalguidesandreviews.com/festival-weekend-092522

In Ohio, as you’ll have guessed, the festivals are all about Fall. Some are referred to as Fall Festivals whereas others are referred to as Harvest Festivals and nonetheless others have autumnal themes, resembling Pumpkins, Mums, Grapes, Apples and Pretzels (linked with Oktoberfests, that are occurring as properly). There are additionally historic festivals like Prairie Days (Review) in Greenville and Frontier Spirit 1799 in Lancaster, purchasing festivals set previously just like the Prairie Peddler (Review) in Butler and the Yankee Peddler (Review) in Canal Fulton and a lot extra.

Last yr, I used to be in a position to go to three of this weekend’s festivals: the Luckey Fall Festival (Review), the Roche de Boeuf Festival (Review) in Waterville and the Findlay Oktoberfest (Review). All three are nice!

Some different festivals I like embody the Dayton Art Institute’s Oktoberfest (Review) for the artwork distributors, the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival (Review) for his or her large pumpkins and pumpkin makes use of, the Jackson Apple Festival (Review) for the varied apple merchandise you may eat, the Barberton Mum Fest (Review) for his or her mum decor and waterski exhibits, and the Geneva Grape Jamboree (Review) for the grape ice cream (generally the grape pie – will depend on the yr).

The Lebanon Country Applefest (Review) can also be fairly spectacular with over 300 distributors, however I went when it came about downtown. Now it’s on the county fairgrounds, so I’m going again this yr to replace my expertise.

Now, let’s take a better take a look at what’s occurring in every a part of the state:

Northwest Ohio:
I actually like each the Luckey Fall Festival and the Roche de Boeuf Festival in Waterville Plus there’s Ribfest in Defiance, a Mum Festival in Tipp City, a Pumpkinfest in New Bremen, Prairie Days in Greenville, and two festivals in Van Wert – a Bluegrass Festival and a Harvest Moon Festival.

Northeast Ohio:
Near Youngstown, there are the Lordstown Apple Cider Festival and one other pageant weekend at White House Fruit Farm (blueberry donuts!!). Many festivals might be discovered round Cleveland and Akron, together with the Barberton Mum Festival, the Ingenuityfest (Review) in Cleveland, Main Street Kent Oktoberfest, and the Yankee Peddler in Canal Fulton.

Central Ohio:
It’s EspressoFest time in Columbus, to not point out the Festival for Good. There’s additionally Frontier Spirit 1799 in Lancaster, the Simon Kenton Chili Festival of Urbana and Pickerington Oktoberfest.

Oktoberfests in Cincinnati, Loveland, and Dayton with a Pretzel Festival (Review) in Germantown.
