Lamar Jackson put in one other unimaginable efficiency to steer the Baltimore Ravens to victory over the New England Patriots in Week Three
It was a case of rinse and repeat in Week Three. There’s unimaginable drama, unimaginable pleasure each week within the NFL and we noticed that once more on Sunday. Just take a look at among the groups that misplaced, among the quarterbacks that misplaced – Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady – and it simply goes to point out you actually can by no means predict what will occur…
1) Dolphins digging deep
I really feel like there’s something particular being in-built Miami, and it is extra than simply Xs and Os.

Highlights of the Buffalo Bills in opposition to the Miami Dolphins in Week Three of the NFL season.
There is an actual perception in head coach Mike McDaniel, and Tua Tagovailoa is coming alive at quarterback – and that may be a story in itself as a result of the Dolphins truly wished Sean Payton as their coach and Tom Brady at QB forward of the season. At the second, I’d in all probability take Tua over Tom.
The manner Miami gained in opposition to the Buffalo Bills was so spectacular. Their protection was on the sphere for 90 performs in excessive warmth, and so they caught with it, digging deep.
They got here from behind in opposition to the Baltimore Ravens to win, and now this. The manner they’ve rallied the final couple of weeks, it proves to me that the Dolphins are a playoff-calibre crew.

2) Colts frustrate Chiefs in large upset
There have been just a few upsets within the NFL this week, with the Indianapolis Colts’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs the massive one.

The indisputable fact that Jonathan Taylor and Matt Ryan weren’t actually elements for a lot of that recreation, but the Colts nonetheless gained – and with out Shaquille Leonard on protection – it simply goes to point out that you just by no means know within the NFL.
It was a ‘backs to the wall’ recreation for Indianapolis, after going winless of their first two, and so they performed that manner, preventing and scrapping their approach to a welcome and much-needed victory.
They have been additionally helped by a Chiefs crew that made too many errors, notably on offense, the place Patrick Mahomes admitted they did not get sufficient factors – they missed on a subject aim and an additional level, plus failed on a pretend subject aim try.
3) Lamar will receives a commission!
Lamar Jackson’s contract scenario with the Baltimore Ravens is simply an interesting storyline that’s going to run all season.
The Ravens quarterback left $250 million on the desk going into the 12 months. He did not need to signal that contract. And each week since, he has added just a little bit more cash on the deal that can little doubt come subsequent 12 months. He has been superior!

He had 218 yards passing and 4 landing passes, to go together with 107 speeding yards and a rating within the win over the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Lamar is proving each week to the Ravens that he’s their franchise going ahead, he’s their man, and I believe he’s going to interrupt the financial institution when the deal will get achieved.
4) Unbeaten Eagles are for actual
Early in each NFL season, we are inclined to see some fraudulent data. You would possibly see a crew get to 2-0, 3-0, however it seems they are not a great crew.

Highlights of the Philadelphia Eagles in opposition to the Washington Commanders in Week Three of the NFL season.
That definitely cannot be mentioned about this 3-0 Eagles outfit. They are proving to be an excellent, well-rounded crew. Interestingly, final 12 months they tended to be a extremely good operating crew, however they do not consider that as a lot as they’ve achieved up to now – they solely had 72 speeding yards within the win over the Washington Commanders.
Jalen Hurts is the actual deal now at quarterback. He had 340 yards and three touchdowns – making him the one QB to have a minimal of 300 passing yards, 50 speeding yards and 100-plus passer score in every of his first three video games of a season.

Hurts is a official, high-level QB and goes to be vastly useful for an Eagles crew that’s going to be an actual contender.
5) Late drama in Tampa
It wasn’t maybe the basic all of us hoped it might be between Brady and Aaron Rodgers, however Brady and the Bucs actually had the possibility to tie this recreation up and ship it into time beyond regulation.

Highlights of the Green Bay Packers in opposition to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week Three of the NFL season.
Fourteen seconds left: it was such an inexcusable mistake to see the play clock run out on their two-point conversion try. I do not know whether or not the play went in from the sideline too sluggish, or if Brady communicated it too slowly, however all the pieces simply took too lengthy.
It is unforgivable in that scenario because it moved the play from the two-yard line again to the seven, Brady throws incomplete and the Green Bay Packers win.
I do not know who the blame lies with, however that stuff ought to actually be ironed out by Week Three of the season. That was a extremely unhealthy manner for the sport to finish for them.
Player of the Week: Lamar Jackson
What else is there to say?
Lamar Jackson is more likely to have ensured a bumper contract supply from the Baltimore Ravens after his exceptional begin to the season
He can nonetheless run away from defenders – nonetheless the largest speeding risk on the sphere for the Ravens – however he’s additionally a way more completed passer this 12 months. He has been decisive and he’s delivering the ball precisely.
I need to give a nod to Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Tua for 1 / 4 of their Week Two recreation in opposition to Miami, however in any other case Lamar has been the most effective participant on the sphere for each minute of Baltimore’s video games this season.
Play of the Week
This is not a landing, though there have been numerous nice landing catches and massive performs within the NFL this week.
But this play from the Dolphins, third-and-22, with the sport on the road in opposition to the Bills, Tua simply threw a 45-yard strike proper down the center of the protection to Waddle to arrange a landing.
It’s much like what they did with the sport on the road in opposition to Baltimore; they only began winging it. That comes from the coach, McDaniel breeds a lot confidence to his gamers.
Coach of the Week: Doug Pederson
I believe he’s doing a tremendous job with the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s wonderful what might be completed with some higher expertise round quarterback Trevor Lawrence and with a grown-up main them on the sidelines.
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson has fully circled a crew who gained solely three video games in the complete 2021 season
The Jags went into Los Angeles and completely hammered the Chargers, albeit with their very own star QB Justin Herbert a bit banged up.
Jacksonville look good for his or her 2-1 document for the time being. And I do know simply how a lot Pederson has labored on the crew’s tradition within the offseason – I do know what he stands for, what he expects of his gamers and the way he carries himself – and it’s resonating via that franchise and reflecting on his quarterback for certain.
In the AFC South, eight or 9 wins could possibly be sufficient to sneak into the playoffs, in order that they’ll undoubtedly be within the combine, Jacksonville.

On My Radar: How do Dolphins reply?
This is why gamers don’t love Thursday Night Football. As this could possibly be a whole non-event as Miami journey to Cincinnati to face the Bengals on a brief week.
The last item the Dolphins wanted after their epic in opposition to Buffalo on Sunday, taking part in in these scorching circumstances, was to have Thursday Night Football instantly off the again of it.
I believe it will likely be very robust for Miami to win that recreation and I do not anticipate them to due to what they went via on Sunday however, in the event that they do, you’ll be able to definitely rely me a believer.
